You Do Get What You Pay For
This is a nice water heater. At first I bought the similar Z-brand VE energy saving unit. Its problems were a AC cord that would constantly fall off and the built-in computer would error-fail every time the unit reached programmed temp; this would require a "reboot" to get it to respond again! The TIGER costs more by a few bucks and holds slightly less water. But it is NICE: The steam rarely flies out of the vents, there is so very little of it to waste heat. The computer is responsive and trouble-free. There is no need to "reboot" the bottle because it reheats only as needed and can discontinue heating to drop a few degrees, to save power. The power savings will add up greatly. I had several "Secura" heaters that were cheap in both price and quality. My Secura units, using distilled water, failed in 1-month, 14 months, and 15 months.
